The Big Bend Ghost Trackers arrived at this historic and elegant hotel with much anticipation for the night’s events: reported "ghostly encounters" of a lady ghost, a hotel employee who was murdered by being thrown down an elevator shaft, the ghost of her daughter and perhaps even the ghost of Floyd Lowery, also a long time employee now long crossed over ......or maybe not! Floyd so enjoyed his years on the job and being at this majestic site, that he has decided to return to it in the after-life ...after being here at this proverbial palace I can certainly see why he is "hanging on" and grounded here. These are the reasons that brought us here too. To see if indeed the Windsor does have Ghostly Inhabitants.
   

At 8 p.m. after a round of introductions and a brief press conference with local newspapers and TV reporters, BBGT members Scott , Lacey & Ron went about collecting baseline data while members Lisa, Valynda and Betty sat up and stationed video cameras and motion detectors in key locations.

This massive hotel was built in 1892 as a means to attract northern visitors looking for a warm climate to "winter" in. Named after a local prominent businessman John T. Windsor, The Windsor Hotel name seemed to be perfect for this grand castle like structure, perfect to attract the wealthy and socialites alike. Through the years it has retained its grandeur. Frequent guests include notables such as former President Jimmy Carter and wife Rosalyn, Jessica Tandy, Heads of State and other dignitaries.
   

At 9 p.m. BBGT begin the night’s investigation. BBGT member Scott, the group’s EVP (electronic voice phenomenon) expert positioned in the kitchen area with audio equipment in place in attempt to capture and record a "voice of the dead". Later, when audio tapes were analyzed, it appears that he did indeed capture a voice! The kitchen area is a key spot where paranormal activity has been known to occur.
   

BBGT photography expert Valynda was in place monitoring a video camera in a 3rd floor hallway. The 3rd. floor is also known to have paranormal activity occurrences. Later when the video tapes were reviewed it was discovered that the camera had recorded an orb in motion slowly wavering from above to the hallway. Also in this same area, a light that had been turned off and the bulb unscrewed for filming purposes suddenly came on. Then after discussing the light being turned on by seemingly unseen hands it quickly again went out....Was it the ghosts of the 3rd floor just trying to get our attention ?????

BBGT members Betty and Lisa were in states of meditation and channeling in attempting to make contact with the ghostly inhabitants of the hotel. Betty, while stationed in an adjoining 3rd floor hallway singing in a child-like voice the old turn of the century tune "A tisket a tasket", suddenly felt a cool breeze on her right side and the digital thermometer displayed a sudden 6 degree drop in temperature. While continuing to sing she was clearly able to sense the presence of a young girl. After a brief time the camera recorded what appears to be orbs bouncing a short distance down the 3rd. floor hallway. The names Sallie (with an ie) and the names Theresa were very much attached to the young girl. BBGT member Lisa was also visually picking up and sensing the strong presence of an entity with the name Adams. Later, while attempting to validate our findings it was discovered that in the early 1940's there had been an employee named Adams.

All members of the BBGT team took a series of photos using digital & 35MM cameras. After reviewing all of the shots it is believed that we did capture on film at least 3 bonafide photos depicting paranormal activity.

As the nights investigation progressed the EMF meters did spike from time to time as well as cold spots were detected with a thermal scanner.
   

Based upon the criteria set fourth by Big Bend Ghost Trackers and after analyzing the film, audio and video along with individual members investigation reports, we do believe that the WINDSOR is indeed experiencing paranormal activity and is indeed an Authenticate Haunted Hotel.

Investigators Present:

Others in Attendance: Approx. 10 (local reporters, Windsor marketing rep, etc.) 

Equipment in Use:

Video cameras (w/night vision and/or infrared),

Digital cameras, 35mm cameras, EMF detectors, B&W, inferred & color film

Thermal scanners, motion detectors, handheld digital and analog recorders, EVP equipment(tabletop analog tape recorder w/ freestanding external microphone), headlamps, flashlights, and dousing rods (minimal use)

Evidence Analyzed:

Video footage, audiotape (EVP) footage, digital photographs, 35mm photographs, and personal experiences (psychic meditation/channeling, etc.)

Phenomena Witnessed:

The investigation yielded quite a large amount of evidence. The most notable ones include:

1. Out of nearly 150 digital pictures taken, approximately 3 yielded some possible anomalies.

2. 2 EMF fluctuations documented:

     1) 10:40pm - staircase between 2nd & 3rd floor (6 degree spike)

     2) 11:10pm - left hallway on 3rd floor (8 degrees)

While these spikes seem nominal, they carry more weight when compared with all other experiences.

3. Several cold spots have been detected. Most Significant was documented in right hallway on 3rd Floor (this was also felt on one of the group member’s right arm).

4. There were several anomalies caught on film: in kitchen area, center hallway on 3rd floor, right hallway on 3rd floor, a small fog-like snake moving down one of the hallways, several orbs appear at various times and locations.

5. One of the hallway light bulbs that was completely unscrewed (for filming purposes) turned on when nobody was near it.

6. Through psychic channeling, one member picked up two possible names of little girls – Theresa and Sallie.

BOTTOM LINE:

After careful, meticulous review of all evidence obtained at this site, the Big Bend Ghost Trackers have concluded that the aforementioned property is, in fact, H A U N T E D

In addition to this Site Evaluation Report, physical evidence in the form of video, audio, and/or still photography will be presented to the site manager substantiating our findings.
