Presidential Tower Suite:
The Carter Presidential Suite is
located in the round tower and
overlooks the historic district.
Guests have a 360 degree view of
historic downtown Americus. The
Presidential Suite was named in honor
of President Jimmy Carter, 39th
President of the United States and a
Sumter County Native. In November
2002, Mr. and Mrs. Carter spent the
night in the Presidential Suite to
officially make it the Carter
Presidential Suite. The suite features
a king bed and sitting area. The
fabrics, designs and colors used in
the suite have been documented as
authentic Victorian. The carpeting,
the bed skirts and comforters are
reproductions of Victorian originals.
The wallpaper and borders are also
documented Victorian in design,
texture and color. Modern-day
amenities are high speed Internet
service, remote control television,
individually controlled heating and
air-conditioning and in-room coffee
makers. Continental breakfast is
complimentary for guests.
